One of the best things about Walthamstow is all the green spaces and they don’t get much better than the Marshes. There are plenty of paths to explore by bike or on foot. Look out for the blue plaque on the railway arch commemorating the work of Sir Edwin Alliott Verdon Roe. It was on Walthamstow Marshes that he first flew his all-British triplane.
